Identity and Mission

Who We Are and What We Do

ISA60 International is a church-based disciple-making movement. We are an interdenominational, non-profit ministry based on clear biblical principles. Our vision is to see nations transformed by ordinary men and women who choose to arise and shine in their families, their workplaces, and their communities.

We seek to trigger and catalyze life- and nation-changing movements of Men of Honor (MoH) and Women of Dignity (WoD). We do this by empowering local churches to mobilize, challenge, and equip men and women to become MoH and WoD who make a difference in their families, workplaces, and communities by leading Christ-centered lives of love, grace, integrity, and respect. Hence, MoH and WoD can be viewed as two branches on one and the same tree – that is, the ISA60 movement – working hand in hand to transform their communities.

Three central and synergetic principles in our ministry are ownership, volunteerism, and training of trainers. In each country where we launch the ISA60 movement, we appoint and train a national committee of volunteers that takes full national ownership of the vision and the work. This committee appoints and trains regional committees of volunteers across the country, who are responsible for training local church leaders and seeing to it that local ISA60 committees of volunteers are formed in the various churches.

At each level, the committees need to take ownership of the vision and the work, both practically, financially, and prayer-wise. Thus, our core concept can be summarized as building self-multiplying transformative movements through multi-level ownership.

Story

How It All Began

The vision of ISA60 was birthed out of a prophetic word that Andréas Andersson received in a dream in March 2012. The word was from Isaiah 60:1. Waking up that morning, Andréas felt a strong calling to go to nations in Africa and meet with church leaders and government leaders in order to share this message of hope and equip local churches for the task of raising up Men of Honor and Women of Dignity who would “arise and shine” in their families, workplaces, and communities.

In April 2013, God spoke to Andréas again, telling him to “go uninvited to Togo” the following Monday. On that first trip, Andréas met with pastor Samuel Koffi Eklou, who would become the first national coordinator of ISA60. The launch in Togo took place in February 2014, after Andréas and his brother Mattias had been invited to the Prime Minister and had received his blessing to spread the vision and the work across the nation. In October 2015, the first national graduation ceremony was held at Palais des Congrès in Lomé. National television and a government representative were present as the 1,014 laureates received their diplomas.

ISA60 country number two was DR Congo, where the vision was first shared with a group of church leaders in Bukavu in February 2015. The launch and ensuing growth of ISA60 Congo became the answer to a challenging question Andréas had received from two Congolese refugees back in Sweden in January 2014, two months prior to his prophetic dream. Their desperate question had been, “What can you do for our people?” God used this question to trigger a remarkable course of events that would lead to the inception of an international movement for personal and national transformation.
